Have you tried window 8 ? if not i will recommend you to go for window 8 it is more stable and better than window 7 .Window 8 is much faster than window 7 ,you can do work more faster on window 8 if you know the shortcuts of window 8.Some shortcuts are same as on previous on window like opening RUN and many other window 8 shortcuts are added to it also.
Windows key – it is the replacement of start button in window 8 ,it will bring up metro screen.
Windows + B – This shortcut is used to select the tray notification area,see below image
Windows + C – Brings up the Charms menu, where you can search, share, and change settings.
Windows + D – This shortcut minimize all window and brings up the Windows desktop.
Windows + E – This shortcut will launch Windows Explorer
Windows + F – Brings up the Metro File search screen.
Windows + H – Opens the Metro Share panel.
Windows + I – Opens the Settings panel, where you can change settings for the current app, change volume, wireless networks, shut down, or adjust the brightness.
Windows + K – This short Opens the Devices panel (for connecting to a projector or some other device)
Windows + L – Lock PC and return to Lock screen.
Windows + M – This shortcut is same winkey+D which Minimize all Windows on the desktop
Windows + P – Choose between available displays.
Windows + Q – This shortcut directly brings up the Metro App Search screen.
Windows + R – This shortcut is used to open run command
Windows + U – This shortcut launch the Ease of Access Center.
Windows + X — Shows advanced start menu options.
Windows + , (comma) – Aero Peek at the desktop.
Windows + Enter – Launches Narrator.
